About

Welcome to the Alchemist's Workshop — a personal blog where I write about the things I build and the ideas I can't stop thinking about.

The recurring themes here are Elixir and the BEAM, AI and how to use it well, technology choices that age gracefully, and the everyday craft of coding. Expect short, practical posts over sweeping manifestos.

For the record: I build distributed services in Elixir, and I did the DevOps and the Linux underneath them, because someone had to. Not a "DevOps engineer", though — DevOps is a methodology. "DevOps engineer" is like "Agile engineer": an entire job title named after a process diagram.

This site itself is an experiment: a Phoenix application that pairs LiveView with the Hologram framework, with content authored in Markdown.
